The heat spreader of the Ryzen 7000 processors is very thick, which is partly due to compatibility with older CPU coolers for the AM4 socket. The unnecessary thickness of the heat spreader reduces thermal conductivity, so the CPUs operate at very high temperatures, around 95 degrees Celsius.
