The Geberit Mapress electro-galvanized press fitting system can be used for joining pipes in closed hot and cold water systems as well as sprinkler systems, fire-fighting water pipes and compressed air networks. Mapress electro-galvanized fittings are made of unalloyed steel. The press joining of pipes and fittings must be carried out with press jaws with an M-profile. When pressing, the pipe is inserted into the press fitting to the marked insertion depth and is thus pressed together. Please note that Geberit Mapress pipes should be cut to size with a regular pipe cutter before use, and then deburred both inside and outside with a suitable deburring tool. Cutting and deburring are important precisely to avoid damage to the O-ring when the pipe is inserted into the press fitting.
